Requirements for Employment:
• Undergraduate student – major in public relations, communications, journalism,
English or another related field strongly preferred.
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage an evolving workload
and/or competing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Resourceful, with robust problem-solving skills.
• Excellent team player with the ability to work independently.
• Proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities.
• Ability to excel in a professional office environment.
• Critical thinker and self-starter.
• InDesign, DonorSnap, and MailChimp experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with social media platforms
Job Description:
This individual assists the Director of Fund Development and Community Engagement
with planning and coordinating aspects of marketing, communication, publicity and
sharing the YWCA’s story in the community. This individual will also assist with volunteer
engagement activities.
Compile and distribute the monthly internal employee newsletter.
Capture photos and video content at events.
Draft content for employee emails and help implement creative concepts for
special employee event programming.
Design images and write copy for social media posts.
Assist with planning community engagement events and programs.
Other duties as assigned.
