The Role:



The worship Pastor/Director is a member of the professional staff of the church. The role is responsible to plan, organize, lead and oversee ministries in the areas of worship and music. The worship responsibilities are part-time, up to 20 hours per week. Goshen will also consider full-time candidates with additional ministry responsibilities dependent upon the interests and gifting of the candidate and the needs of the church. Accountability to the church is through the Elders and is implemented under the direction of the Senior Pastor. 



Responsibilities include:



Plan, coordinate and implement the worship and music elements of regular and other occasional worship services.



While serving as the primary leader in Goshen worship services, a key objective is also to develop and equip lay leaders, and to build up and expand worship and music teams and tech teams.



Additional responsibilities will be considered if a candidate is interested in full-time employment.



Spiritual Prerequisites:



The candidate should actively renew his soul by spending time in Scripture, personal worship and prayer, and relational accountability.



The candidate must have deeply rooted doctrinal beliefs and ministry values that are consistent with those of the church as stated in the Church’s Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Worship and Music. 



Qualifications and Skills:



Has experience in and senses a clear calling from God into ministry and to Goshen.



Strong musical skills (vocal and primary instrument)

Church Organist/Pianist Job Description
St John UCC Bolivar is looking for a music enthusiast, who wants to share their gift of music with the congregation. Person can play either or both. Service is held on Sunday at 10:30am. Generally there are three hymns, along with a prelude and postlude. St John UCC is a small church, with a lovely congregation of caring people.
-Compensation is negotiable but generally $75 a Sunday
-Receive additional remuneration from weddings and funerals as negotiated between the parties involved or by Consistory guidelines.
-The pay schedule is twice a month, 15th and last day of the month.
-There are 4 paid vacation Sundays per calendar year, not to be carried over into the next calendar year. No paid sick leave or holidays.
-The employment of the organist/pianist is "at will" of the employer and employee.
-The employee is required to present a written notice to the Consistory a minimum of 14 days prior to resignation.
-The employer will provide 14 days notice by the Consistory in the even of involuntary termination.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Be familiar with and competent in play the church organ that is in place in the church.
-Be able to play hymns for worship as well as any special music.
-Be able to accompany the choir or soloists as needed.

you do just that! NewPointe is a multisite church in rural Ohio that is passionate about reaching

the unchurched and de-churched and inspiring them to follow Jesus. Through hands-on

experience and practical training, we strive to empower college-age students and recent

-When does the NewPointe Summer Internship 2024 program begin and end?

• Internships will begin on May 20, 2024, and end on August 2, 2024.


-Is there an age limit for NewPointe Summer Internships?

• Our internship program is designed for 18- to 25-year-olds.


-Is housing provided?

• We have limited housing opportunities for interns who live outside of Stark, Guernsey,

Tuscarawas, Holmes, Coshocton, and Wayne County. To be considered, please specify

on your application.


-Is transportation provided?

• Each intern is responsible for their own transportation and will need to have access to a

personal vehicle.


-Is this a paid or unpaid internship?

• NewPointe Summer Interns will receive a stipend of $300 paid on the 16th and last day

of the month during their enrollment (5 times total).


-Is this a part-time or full-time internship?

• Our internship is 40 hours per week. Most intern hours will take place Sunday-Thursday

with the exception of occasional special ministry events that may take place on a Friday

or Saturday.


-Can I specifically intern in students, kids, or adult ministries?

• To give our interns a well-rounded ministry experience, our campus ministry interns will

serve under one of our campus pastors and get experience in all three ministry areas.

We will not be offering individualized internships in those ministry areas during 2024.
